What’s in a name?

norgey on top

Tenzing Norgey (1914 – 1986, pronunciation ‘Norgay’), was a Nepalese Sherpa mountaineer. Among the most famous mountain climbers in history, he was one of the first two individuals known to reach the summit of Mount Everest, which he accomplished with Edmund Hillary on 29 May 1953.

Remarkable note: Norgey and Hillary were the first people to conclusively set their feet on the summit of Mount Everest, but journalists were persistently repeating the question: “Which of the two men had the right to the glory of being the first one, and who was merely the second?” Colonel Hunt, the expedition leader, declared, “They reached it together, as a team.”

Tenzing Norgey inspired us in helping other companies to reach the top of their business, together as a team.

Craftsmanship

crafts ·man · ship
skill in a particular craft: The quality of design and work shown in something made by hand; artistry;

Craftsmen are a special breed. They combine several qualities which make them skilled individuals. Determination, passion, skills and a lot of experience. These people make the exceptional happen. Often, they can be a little rebellious. Rebellious with a cause. They want to create the best, most beautiful or ingenious solutions for their clients.

At Norgey, we dare to say we are all craftsmen. In all kinds of fields, with a wide variety of interests. By uniting the right craftsmen, we create chemistry, inspire each other and come up with great results.

Craftsmanship is not about status, it’s about pride. And proud we are!
